Begin your day by giving your body the best it needs. Please don’t run your self on empty, you are harming every fiber in your body. Driving a car on little to no gas or fuel will get you nowhere. The body needs fuel to perform at its optimum, no matter how fit or unfit you are.
Carbohydrates are our energy burning fuel. Certain fuels are designed solely for consumption to provide energy. Start your day with whole grains, like oatmeal. Back in the day in Mississippi, we used to eat grits, biscuits and eggs for breakfast. I felt like a mean machine. Used to run track faster than the wind could blow.
Whole grains, like oatmeal, are absorbed slower, giving you a longer-lasting boost, unlike refine carbohydrates, i.e. sugar, white flour. Oats also contain B vitamins like niacin, thiamin, and folate, which work together to help your body metabolize energy.
No time to cook oatmeal, on the run, get a quick boost from yogurt. It is an easy snack and go energy booster. Yogurt contains lactose, a milk sugar, great ingredients which is easily used for energy. Want more protein…
