“UnderDog to TopDog — You can be, Tom Brady, in your Super Bowl!”
I must admit that I am not a sports enthusiasts but watched the Super Bowl for the commercials and the halftime with Lady Gaga. Watching the game and seeing the score 21–0, I longed to see the commercials and halftime feeling like the Falcons were the TopDog and the rest would be history. Felt sorry for The Patriots with zero score, even after they scored three points, still the UnderDog, nevertheless. Funny thing, I thought, “it would be funny if all of a sudden the Patriots miraculously won somehow!”, of course that was a rhetorical comical statement. While watching a done deal game, I entertained myself with other aspects of each team until a commercial appeared.
Commercial time! I am so excited watching these commercials only to be left wondering, “what was that all about?” then I waited for the next commercial and the next and the next and mostly all were very complex and convoluted requiring in-depth thinking to associate the product to the story. Haha!! Thinking it was me, I inquired of my very analytical Fiance who concurred these commercials are quite complex and strange. Nevertheless, they were entertaining to say the least. I reiterate not all the commercials were of this nature. FYI, The Mr. Clean commercial was entertaining and cute! Even The View were entertained by the fantasy aspect of Mr. Clean and the husband. At least, Halftime almost made up for my disappointment in the Game and commercials.
Lady Gaga never ceases to amaze and wow her audience. She was hotly awesome and I enjoyed the acrobatic shocking spectacle, along with her singing and piano playing. The lady is a true performer, no lip syncing! I’m okay that portions of her performance was pre-taped. Loved her performance no mater what but didn’t see the political statement that the media hyped up. Thinking it was me, I accepted it for what it was but when I didn’t her any comments about her statement after the game or on the news, I assumed it didn’t happen. Well, that was a little daunting given all the media hype. Thank God for The View, these ladies are awesome in their assessment on all today’s issues. They summed up Lady Gaga political statement as such, “she makes a political statement just by being because she visibly champions many causes all the time, i.e. LGBT, Women’s Issue, etc and did not have to make a verbally appeal during Halftime. Wow, that’s powerful!! Thanks Lady Gaga and thanks The View!
After Halftime, I gave up on the Falcons because of what things looked like but thank God The Falcons didn’t give up on themselves because of their score and saw the light at the end of the tunnel and went from being the UnderDog to becoming the TopDog of all times ever!! God still make miracles happen.
Through their efforts, we all can learn a much needed lesson during those time of doubt and wavering faith. Watching this reality of the Super Bowl confirms that things can change in an instant as long as you stay in the game. You have to be in it to win it. I don’t know about you but I am going to stay in the game of life for today I may be the Underdog but tomorrow or even the next minute, TopDog!! Brady and his teammates kept the fire burning even when there was a chill in the air! They could have given up with the entire World watching but they pursued to the end in becoming the biggest TopDog ever!! This can be you or me, be encouraged and not discouraged. Do your best and leave the rest to God!!
