To be or not to be, Anthropologist!

Anthropology is a science that deals with humankind and their origins. Being an anthropologist in everyday life can mean being interested, without making a judgement call pertaining how other people live their lives and behave. Seeing all through the eyes like an anthropologist allows one to not sit in judgment but have compassion. This strategy is like putting yourself in another’s shoes. Once this is done, love and kindness will become paramount. Genuinely concerned regarding the behavior of another, not only extend compassion to another but prevents one from being angry regarding the behavior exposed to.

Being interested in another’s behavior is a way of replacing judgements or anger with loving-kindness. Seeing another’s behavior from his perspective allows you to replace anger with understanding. It truly takes off the edge of being annoyed by another’s action.

When someone’s behavior is foreign and/or unusual take a moment and understand that behavior rather than judging by say things like, “I can’t believe he/she did such a thing” or “They have got to be out of their minds to do that”, turn all this thinking into compassion and understanding by saying, “oh they must be experiencing something in their world that causes this behavior.”
