January 6, 2019 Sunday — “The Caregiver rules the Roost!”

Had a restful night partly due to how the night before ended and secondly slept in late. All is quiet, up at 6:00 AM to quietly work before anyone awoke.

Worked on my Toastmasters agenda for tomorrow and some writing projects until around 8:00 AM, when Mother awoke. Got her up for breakfast and ready for church. No therapy this day, decided to give her a break from such a busy weekend.

All dressed and ready to go, she sat and watched Joel Osteen on television as I got dressed and conferred with a carpenter who came by to give us an estimate on redoing our staircase. Mother always liking not to be left out, joined us until the carpenter departed.

All was quiet for the most part. Yes the questions pertaining to going home persisted but nothing erratic, just constant in a mild manner way. Dressed all ready for church. Grab Mother’s walker to use outside of the house. Wanted to see if she’d behave in the same manner with the therapist. Ironically, she used the walker and did not rebel not once. Made her use it from the house down the slopped driveway. to the car and later in and outside of church. Not one occasion of outburst. This got me to wondering why so erratic with the physical therapist. I surmised, she was erratic…
