January 13, 2019 Sunday — “A Mighty Long way-170 to 124 Blood Pressure”

No gym today, even the physical body needs a break. Too much of a good thing could also become a bad things. According to the bible, all things in moderation. 1 Corinthians 9:25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. There you have it, I rest my case. Unused gym time, now perfect for my one unfinished project from last night. Arose at 6:00 AM to complete and the rest was history.

Sundays are a bit more relaxing than weekdays from a timely perspective. After completing my project, I ran to the supermarket and a few other errands before Mother awoke. As I returned home, she was awake and ready to go. Already had her rob on and had her breakfast via Ole. Great, one less thing for me to do for a change. Even though he gave her cold cereal and I wanted her to have oatmeal to lower her blood pressure. Nevertheless, there is always tomorrow and any break is a break and I’d take it anyway it comes. Skipped the physical and speech therapy, to ready Mother for church.

As I prepared to give Mother a bath, my spirit/God reminded me in two weeks she’d return home and I must prepare her to get in and out of her tub solo when bathing. Since the rehabilitation center, I had only given her either sponge baths or baths with the medical chair. Today, was time to graduate her to tub bath. Yes, I was a bit nervous for her due to the stroke…
