December 30, 2018 Sunday — “Good Advice Works, When Used”, Knowledge is driving this train.
After a month of living in a medical facility, a greater appreciation emerged being home on Sunday morning when we can just get up at our leisure as we prepared for the morning and our day outing. Yes, along with our normal ritual including Mother, church has been added to this Sunday regimen. Initially, I was a bit concern that Mother would not be able to handle the service or just sitting but too the contrary she appeared to enjoy the music and the minister. Even saw her mouthing many of the worship songs. Now, that was impressive especially with Mother coming from a staunch Pentecostal background where the music was more soulful. I guess as we get older our acceptance of things not accepted before becomes more readily accepted for one reason or another. Maybe when you have lived for ninety two years long, a lot of things just don’t bother you anymore. Even at my current age, things that bothered me in my twenties and thirties don’t make me blink an eye now. So I guess it is true, if you allow, wisdom does come with age.
Church over now onto running errands and having lunch at a usual spot. One of Mother’s favorite pastime is eating out, especially after my Father transitioned in 2011. Cooking used to be a favorite pastime of hers and…
