December 24, 2018 Sunday — “Christmas Eve, Just Is”
This day begun as usual except for going to church. We attended Cornerstone for the nine o’clock AM service. It was a regular service and mother again walked herself into church instead of using the wheelchair. We sat in the middle isle but mother communicated she wanted to sit closer to the front. We sat on the second row from the front. Boy did I have to fight dozing off. Also checked, Ole and mother dozed at various times. Mother at 92 years old is allowed to sleep when and where she wants. It’s acceptable but not us. Anyway, we made it through the service then onto our next venture.
Since Hope of the Valley Thrift Store is not far from church, I ran into the store to see what treasures I could find. Wasn't looking for anything particular, just entertaining myself. Since Mother’s visit, this store had become a great pass time outlet for me. Sometimes I’d find great treasures whereas other time I didn't find a thing. Started to get to know the workers.
Wanted to go elsewhere but had no other places to go, so we returned home for lunch. Had lunch and off to the movie Ole went. I wasn't in the mood for a movie but Ole loved the movies. He could watch the same movie multiple times. I couldn't go to the movie because of mother. She had went before but…
