January 15, 2019 Tuesday “Squeaky Wheel gets the Oil!”

Today was a really good day. Mother slept late this morning while I started a new writing project. While on social media, I spotted this wonderful gospel music video with singers that I’d knew Mother, like myself, would truly appreciate. By the time she awoke, I was well accomplished and prepared to assist her. We did our usual ritual of breakfast and physical and speech therapy exercise.

During breakfast, I placed my Ipad with the gospel music video in front of her as she ate and while I shot a live video to share with my friends who have been sharing my journey with Mother. It was truly delightful to see how Mother was so engaged and repeating the singers words. She lit up like a Christmas tree. The music was her lifelong testimony and I was a witness to that fact.

After the video, was therapy and onto her second bath in the tub without totally assistance and a chair. Since she will be returning home in a week or so, she must be prepared to bathe herself in her own tub and be able to…
