December 31, Monday — New Year Eve — “ The Best Christmas Card!”

Because of the holiday schedule, the gym opened at 6:00 AM, to late so I decided to just work in my office and catch up on my work. Just at the moment when I was getting into my groove, Mother awoke and I insisted she go back to sleep. This request was followed by countless times of her waking up, laying down, sitting up and looking around as to discern if it was day or night. When I thought she would exited the bed, I’d suggest that it was night and not time to wake up. This episode played out a good bit of the morning until around 8:00 AM. Regardless, I was able to achieve a vast amount of success in my work.

While watching her on the baby monitor and the final time she arose, I figured 8:00 am was late enough and advise her it was time to awake. Yeah!! I allowed her to meander around in her room as she made up her bed and then searched high and low for clothes to wear. Funny thing, she looked in the drawers but never once checked the closet. Since I normally lays her clothes out, it didn’t occur to her where I get them from. This was okay for it gave me more time to work and to tie up loose ends. When she tired of looking for clothes, I immediately ran downstairs, gave her a robe to wear and served her breakfast.

Normally, she gets dressed first but i decided to change our routine. Eating with her left hand caused her to spill food on her clothing so dressing last after therapy proved more beneficial…
