January 2, 2019 Wednesday, “Intermittent Explosive Disorder Attacker”

Waking at 3:00 AM in the morning, after going to bed at 10:00 PM proved a bit hard this morning but I did it. The clock alarmed, got Mother out of bed to use the restroom, threw on my gym clothes and off to the gym I went. Even though I was tired and didn’t want to go, but I knew later in the day I’d regret it. Plus prayer and exercising keeps me focused for the day with Mother.

Returned home to meet some deadlines that I’d set for myself to accomplish before Mother awoke. Mother slept in until about 8:00 AM, boy was I happy and just worked away. Caught up and felt good about my accomplishments.

By the time, Mother had awakened, I’d had some really good me time. She got dressed, had breakfast and we did our exercises together and off to run some weekly errands. Made many needed stops today Mother mostly sat in the car. When I knew I would be in the store longer than the norm, I’d either give her a snack to occupy her mind, or ask her if she wanted something to yet occupy her thoughts with anticipation or I’d keep a close eye on the car. Hearing that some dementia people had just walk away from love ones and never to be found or found dead is terrifying. Could never live something like that down. In the recent past while shopping, Mother did open the door once and said she wanted to get out of the car. A couple of other times, she removed her seat belt, this gave me cause for concern.
