January 10, 2019 — Thursday “Therapy not Her Cup of Tea!”

Today as usual went to the gym this morning, didn’t feel like going but needed it badly because Mother went on a rant yesterday, all day and all night. I was mentally and physically exhausted. Forcing myself in the gym was the best thing for me. Returned home Mother was still sleeping. She awoke about 7:15AM and I told her it was still night to go back to bed for a bit. I was not ready yet to deal with what may come given last night was a nightmare. Shortly later, she arose and wanted to get up. I complied.

Watched her on the baby monitor just to see what she’d do. She got dressed and made up her bed. Couldn’t find a blouse, then yelled out my brother’s name for help. I responded over the baby monitor for her to sit and I’d be down in a minute. Had to tell her twice because she didn’t comprehend the first request. I could judge by her actions, she didn’t comprehend my request.

Since she was partially dressed, I gave her breakfast and did the usual physical therapy. She was laughing and talking as she ate. Occasionally and politely, she’d asked when she was going home and I answered the same answer as usual. Inside me was so conflicted about yesterday’s episodes, but…
