December 11, 2018 Tuesday Adventure# 4 — First Giant Step

Now that we have the lightweight wheel chair for my mother, venturing out is an easier task than with the bulky wheelchair acquired for release from the rehab center that we bought via Letgo for her exit immediately from the rehab center.

As usual, I awakened at 11PM and 3AM for bathroom breaks for mother and then off to the gym I go after her last break. She falls back to sleep, Ole, my husband is fast asleep, as I tiptoed around the house gathering my stuff for the gym that I set up the night before. Had a few almonds, grab my glass water bottle, jumped in the car, and happily off to the gym I went.

Worked out for about an hour or so, great time for myself. Walking in the gym for the first time in almost a month felt heavenly. Especially since I was accustomed to going to the gym every day for hours except Sunday. This workout entailed lower body and cardio. Also, kept my eyes on the clock, must return home before mother awakes. She calls out every morning early, “Is it time to get up?”. Usually, I reply, “not yet, it’s still night time” and she replies, “okay”. Her ritual of waking up usually begins around 4:30AM and extends until around 6:30PM.
