The Longest Stroke-Dementia Road To Somewhere Journal
December 10, 2018, Monday Non Eventful Outing #3
The Northridge Rehabilitation Center is starting to feel like a remote dreams and I am so thankful, having come this far and to feel this way. There was one time when this day was not only long in coming but so far in the distance I couldn’t begin to see in a distance.
Somedays are more busy than others and/or mentally and physically draining than others. I can appreciate a non eventful day on occasions. Only a few errands on the agenda for today.
First, we had two General Contractors who came out very early to give us estimates on redesigning our staircase. After a lot of analysis, they concluded to contact me after the holidays with an estimate. They were highly recommended by an associate who allowed them to rebuild various parts of his home. Looking forward to their estimates.
Upon their departure, off to the closest shopping area to pick up a few needed items. In and out and then onto Home Goods where Mother and I would spend some real time looking at all the beautiful Christmas decorations and trees. As I push her around, she and I engaged others by interacting with them. Mother loves people so any opportunity to grunt or say a word or sentence she was on it and I welcomed as much of this as possible.
