January 15, 2019 Wednesday “Conversations with Mother!”

Wisdom is the reward you get for a lifetime of listening when you’d have preferred to talk.”

Rainy days are the perfect days to curl up on the sofa with a good book or watch a movie or have conversations with Mother. Worked out at the gym and taught my cycling class of eighteen at five forty five in the morning. It was fun and high energy! Rushed home to relieve Ole and to watch Mother.

Mother woke up and the day for me was over and it’s mostly about her. As I saw Mother on the baby monitor starting to rustle a bit and I told her to go back to sleep because it was still dark.

Waking Up Conversation:

Mother: Time to get up?

Me: No, it’s early and dark. Go back to sleep.

Mother: (Laid down again.)

Me: (To myself.) Great!!

Mother: (Fifteen minutes later., sitting up in bed)

Me: Mother, still early, dark outside, go back to sleep.

Mother: (Mumbling.)

Me: What? Go back to bed.

Mother: (Adamant) It’s seven o’clock.

Me: (Chuckling.)Yes, you can get up! Okay…okay?

Mother: Okay.

She got up and made up her bed. This took her a few minutes and gave me a little extra time to upload about five files…
