Lessons we learned about each other while traveling by car for days during our family Christmas trip across the Country.

Planning for our Christmas trip to visit family for the holidays in our car, I needed much busy work not to loose my mind riding in a car for days. Along with my computer, Iphone, books and audio tapes were to help maintain my sanity. The books were “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman and The Advent, my church devotional.

Leaving at 4am in the morning, all I could do was sleep for hours and hours. I slept so much that I became exhausted from sleeping. By then I knew I must do something else. As my husband drove, he had the radio playing his favorite music/station. As I set up with the sun beaming down on my side of the window, I blocked the sun with my jacket as I tried to relax in the reclining seat. There is only so much sleep any one body can handle.

Feeling like I was wasting so much precious time, I decided to read. I grabbed the book, “The Five Love Languages” and started to read. Found the book very wordy and found myself dozing off as I…
