The 2019 Christmas Journey with Mother, Dementia, Mini Stroke & Us!

Traveling by car from Los Angeles to Texas for Christmas and New year 2019–2020!

We drove for almost two days to Houston, Texas from Los Angeles while we stopped overnight, twice. Once was at a small hotel for rest of a long day of driving and the second time was in San Antonio for mini vacation. We heard that San Antonio was such a beautiful place to visit. Will share that visit at another time.

After our visit in San Antonio, we arrived in Houston, Texas and was greeted by my sister in-law who was not feeling well. My brother was on the road traveling. We arrived around six in the evening and set around and chatted awhile as my sister in-law offered to take us out for dinner because she didn’t prepare anything because she was not feeling well. Chatting for awhile, she felt worse and decided to go to bed. She gave us a key and instructed where we could go to get something to eat. Also, we wanted to check out her new yogurt store, Menchie’s in the area. After she gave us directions, we left and drove around Houston. We visited the yogurt store and also found a location to grab a bite to eat. Returned back to their home, went to bed and readied for the next morning.
