My testimony, an aspirin a day may have help my mother from having a massive stroke. i am thankful. On November 17, my 92 year old mother had a mini stroke and was in the hospital and rehab for a total of about one month. Thank God it was just a mini stroke which increased her total recovery rate of 100%. With physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy and all I did in between, she has recovered 85% since returning to her home.
When the stroke first happened she was residing with me and I was her advocate to ensured all were done 200% for a speedy recovery but returning to her home in another state has made things a bit cumbersome because the caregivers don’t have the investment in her as I had and understandably so. For a distance I continue to motivate and do what I can within my power. As prescribed by the cardiologist, she is yet taking her aspirin to prevent another stroke or heart attack. Especially since they could not determine why she had a mini stroke. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
