Sugar’s taste is so addicting the moment we indulge. This indulgent usually begin when we are very young. Everything we eat has salt and sugar in it. The combination of sugar and salt is what gives much flavor to our food. Very young, we become acquainted to this taste and learn to expect it when eating. This is how and where the addiction starts.
Sugar is either naturally in our foods or added. In our fruits, there is natural sugar while processed foods have added refine sugar, the worst of it’s kind and is addicting.
Yes, any sugar makes us feel good. I have watched many consume sugar including myself and the pleasure on our faces is one of pure satisfaction at the moment. This type of satisfaction is what makes us crave more and more and before we realize it we are addicted. It’s just that simple.
Consumers are becoming smarter and realizing that sugar is a kin to drugs, because to much of it can lead to many illnesses such as obesity, diabetes and depression, some cancers and heart disease, just to name a few, in children and adults. Obesity has begun a major problem of late in the younger population.
