Marketing Scam Got New Wheels
“If it’s too good to be true, it isn’t”
The vulnerable and elderly are so susceptible. If it’s too good to be true, then run for your life before it gets you. If you listen and start answering questions, they got you.
Bad enough many have to fear answering their telephone because on the other end there may be a scammer trying to get your personal information, resources or money. I have an elderly mother and while visiting with her last week, there was this phone call, clearly a scammer of sort. I fear what may have happened if I hadn’t been there to answer her phone or others who are exposed and fall prey to these marketing scammers.
Me: Hello
Caller: May I speak with Ms…..
Me. Whose calling?
Caller: Resource Center..I need to speak with Ms…..
Me: I am her daughter, what is this about?
Caller: I can’t tell you, it’s personal and I need to speak with her
Me: Won’t happen unless you tell me what you want and what this is about…
Caller: I am sorry mam, I can’t..
Me. Well, you want speak with her…..may I speak with your supervisor…
