How to make homework your bedrock of organizing your life. When your base is in order, the rest of you will fall in line!

When I was younger, Saturday was the cleaning day in our house. Up early in the morning after breakfast, music blasting as we danced to the music, washed the dishes, fold the clothes, moped the floors, washed the laundry, cleaned the bathroom, bedrooms and living room, all done before noon and the rest was play time. Took pride in a clean house. It was cathartic!

Fastforward, I am older and life is more busy, little time for house work and need all the help I can get. Even sought a house cleaning assistant to take away the drudgery of housekeeping. Decided to move forward with an assistant highly recommended and affordable, she retired. Oh no!!

Well, when money is tight and you can’t afford or trust house cleaning services, then you must teach yourself to do the simple that turns into much. There is all kinds of gadgets and tricks unlike yesterday that will turn housecleaning into a breeze!

Most of us do the basic daily cleaning we need while other chores lack as many of us hope a magic wand will do the rest. Haha!! Guess again!! Some people clean everyday, some once a day, weekly or monthly and some almost never. Nothing to wear, can’t find a thing, whose fault is that?

Yes, I am aware there are some chores that are difficult to do but you can’t run from them because when you return they are yet there waiting for you. When was the last time you cleaned beneath the lint collector in the dryer, or the fan blades on the ceiling fan or de-grimed the shower head, cleaned the air vents, lifted the stove top lid to clean around the burners, cleaned behind your refrigerator, floor baseboard cleaning, dusting hard to reach places and on and on?
