Life Is No Bed Of Roses

Life is filled with ups and downs,

roses and thorns, all around.

Promises are made, promises are broken.

Promises give hope, flatter the heart,

make the spirit grow fonder, as you start.

Filled promises make you glad.

with excitement, joy, you’ve never had.

Unfulfilled promises can make you rage,

with disappointment, locked in a cage.

People, inevitably, will make promises that cannot be kept,

but the Creator never makes a promise which cannot be kept.

Stretch forth with faith on the Creator’s promises, and step.
