“He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.” “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

Start by opening your heart to “what is” instead of insisting that life be a certain way. This concept is crucial to life because it prevents the internal struggle from our desire to control life, which is not really controllable, insisting that it be different than it truly is, designed to be, otherwise it would not be as such. Life isn’t always or rarely is the way we should like it to be, it is what it is. The greater the surrender to the truth of the moment, the greater will be your gain of peace of mind, true peace of mind.

Having preconceived ideas or thoughts about the way life should be, will interfere with our opportunity to enjoy or learn from the present moment and live contently in the moment. Not being in the moment will prevent us from honoring and acknowledging what we are going through or experiencing, which could be a great awakening opportunity that is totally unexpected.
