December 25, 2018 Tuesday Christmas Day — Me and Ole & Mother make Three!!”
So excited about Christmas morning! Was curious about what was under the tree for me but more excited to share this Christmas with Mother and Ole. This was our first Christmas in the new house. I thank God that we were not in the rehab center like we were for Thanksgiving.
Mother and I performed our usual ritual of getting dressed, breakfast then followed by therapy. Shortly afterwards, I escorted Mother into the living room as I sang, “Happy Christmas to you” and Ole and Mother chimed in. That moment alone was priceless and I felt in my spirit this was going to be a fun Christmas celebration. While we entered singing, Ole began to record us on his camera. I wanted to capture this moment to share with Mother and the family in the future. Hopefully these types of events will spark others to share the love of life with love ones especially the elderly or the ill. These types of memories are more valuable than money and as a matter of fact can’t be bought by money. Even Mother when she is fully recovered will get a grateful moment to see how far God had brought her. “Let the show begin”, I thought.
We sat Mother on a high stool to capture every moment of her actions. The camera was placed directly in front of her as each of us presented her with gifts. Funny thing, she was like our little baby.
