Happy Meditation Thursday Evening Prayer For Refreshment!!!

Learn and expect the power of prayer!

When I was young every night before I’d go to sleep my mother would say this prayer, “Now I lay me down to keep I pray the Lord my soul to keep, if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.” I will never forget this prayer. As a young girl, this prayer gave me much comfort through the night. Saying this prayer all my life guided me many years before I learned to seek God for myself.

Mother stated this prayer for all of her seven children and some of her grand children who visited frequently!! She gave all of us a solid foundation in God! Over the years as a young girl growing up, I’d hear Mother moaning and praying to God for deliverance and she’d often fast until her prayers were answered. She is my rock and an example for many!!

My 93 Year Old Mother in the middle is yet a lady of wisdom and wit!! The bible states we must honor and cherish our parents. “And this is the first commandment of promise: “Honor your father and your mother, … days may be long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land.” ‎Ephesians 6:3

Prayer is powerful!!!
