Day 8 — Tuesday Journey with mother, mini stroke aftermath, mild dementia and I! End of vacation Bang with Mother!! Life Lessons Health life love

Our last Howrah!! Biloxi Senior Citizen Center Health Fair!!!

Awoke early, had mixed feeling about my last day with mother and going home to be with my husband. Wished I could have found a happy medium but no such thing. Mother desired to live in her own home in her home state and I had to return to my home state. Tomorrow is not promised and wanted to make every day count with mother especially since she is getting up in age and lives alone with caregivers.

After I heard about a health fair at a nearby senior citizen center, I thought it would be fun to take mother and interact with all the other attendees. They had giveaways, prizes, raffles, entertainment and food.

After breakfast, I drove about thirty minutes to Biloxi, the city where the event took place. I thought being so early, we’d be one of the first few in lines, but there were a very long lines and some people were already leaving with stuffed bags filled with giveaways. This made us excited to see what was going on inside.

After seeing all these people, thousands or more, I was thrilled I chose to bring mother’s wheelchair. Along with mother in her wheelchair, there were others on walkers, in wheelchairs also, and many many elderly people like mother. Thank…
