Day 4 Friday Journey with Mother, Mini Stroke aftermath, Mild Dementia and I — 93 Years old Story

Another day to create more happy memories with mother. Usually she spends a lot of time with the caregivers and while they are nice too her but they are not family and will not take the time and effort like I would with her. I totally understand what makes her happy and will do everything in my power to make her days happy.

Up early as usual, mother loves to get up early just as if she has a job. It is an old habit. Her day begins with her making her bed and then getting dress. She does this so efficiently that I concluded this is her norm. Then to goes and takes a seat on the sofa in the den and awaits her breakfast. Gave her breakfast, followed by walking exercise with her walker outdoors, then use the resistance bands for her arms, then her verbal exercises and when all was done, she had her bath to prepare to go to the gym with me and shopping or whatever we could find to get into.

First the gym, we arrived there and Mother didn’t want to do any exercise but I insisted she get on one machine, she did a little arm exercise and stopped. She doze a bit and wake up off and on. Occasionally would use the machine for about a minute and stop. I was thankful for whatever she would do. After sitting and dozing for a bit, it was like she got a wind from somewhere and started going at it and I cheerleaded as she continued and…
