Day 2 Wednesday journey with mother, mini stroke aftermath, mild dementia and I! Mother & Daughter Adventure across three states!

With our lunch and clothes all packed into the car we headed for highway 10 to Gulf Breeze, Florida! After driving straight for one hour, we stopped at Waffle House for breakfast and a bathroom break.

Even with mild dementia, she remembered and awoke about three times over the night ready to go!! I sent her back to bed, two times. One time she had on her night gown and acquired about going and the second & third time was fully dressed! Sent her back to bed each time! Finally daybreak came and I found mother in the den fully dressed sitting on the sofa waiting for me. I joined her, it was about 7:30am so I preceded to insist on her bath and made her a mini breakfast! Wanted to see how independent she had become so I watch her get into the bathtub with little assistance from me. One hundred times better since her stroke in January. Wanted to chart her progress since the stroke so I always challenged her in all her efforts as I stood near. She did very good but bathing herself proves very interesting as she just splashed the water on…
