A Friend

A true friend comes along once in a lifetime or maybe twice.

So called friends pass through like tidal waves.

They go with the flow.

When things are good they are paramount.

When things are not so good, they disappear like the wind.

A true friend stays with you through thick and thin.

A true friend accepts you the way you are.

A true friend never demands to know

but lifts you up during your weakest moment,

turns your frown into a smile, forgives without a request,

and does not tire of your endless cries

but dries every tear.
